Ellie’s Run for Africa is a local opportunity to walk alongside African children, raising funds for their education and giving them hope to get out of the slum – ONE CHILD AT A TIME.

Through our fundraising efforts - which include the options to either run a 5K race or simply fundraise - we bring together people of all ages to Dream Big and Take Action about how they can help Africa.

Ellie’s Run for Africa was founded in 2004 thanks to the dream of one child – 10-year-old Ellie Ambrose of Nashville, Tennessee.  Ellie was moved to act after simply seeing photos of children living in the slums of Africa.
To date, her dream has raised more than $210,000 and helped thousands of children go to school.
All funds raised through Ellie's Run for Africa benefit African Leadership.
