Husband and wife duo Peter and Day Jarupat opened Peter’s Sushi & Thai in 2005 out of a passion for amazing food and service. After working and training for 6 years at famed sushi restaurant Kuni’s Japanese Restaurant in Chicago, Peter relocated his family to Nashville and began working as a sushi chef at Miyako in Brentwood, where he remained for 10 years. After suffering from a brain aneurysm, Peter and his wife, Day, were inspired to fulfill their life-long dream of opening their own restaurant, which blended Peter’s expertise as a sushi chef and Day’s traditional Thai cooking skills.
