Event Details

Join us for a “Spook-tacular” time at the Nashville Zoo’s “Boo at the Zoo” in Grassmere Park.
The Fall Festival Field features carnival games, bounce houses, dance parties, corn pit and more. The Howl-O-Ween Hayride takes riders on a trip through the Zoo’s backroads to discover magical scenes. Trick-or-treat around the Zoo trail and uncover festive treats made with sustainable palm oil. Enjoy special animal, science and magic shows. Visit the Frightful Farm to take a Dying Traditions home tour or brave the Haunted Barn. Tickets are required for ALL guests, including kids under 2. WoodmenLife Member tickets are only $5.00 and their guests (non-WoodmenLife members) $15.00. This includes event admission, food voucher, and keepsake gifts. Children under 2 are FREE (food voucher not included). WoodmenLife will setup at the front entrance from 4:00pm to 7:00pm to give out tickets and gifts. For more information contact our regional office at (731) 664-6524 or tennessee_west_fraternal@woodmen.org.
ANIMALS YOU'LL SEE
Most animals will be in bed by the time the event starts, but a few favorites like to stay up late: Andean bears (till 6:30pm), Shell Station (till 7:30pm), antelope/zebra/ostrich on Africa Field (till 8:30pm) and flamingos (till 8:30pm).
TRICK OR TREATING
Boo at the Zoo is designed to create special memories for your family, not necessarily to bring home the biggest haul of candy. Kids can expect to visit about a dozen treat stations, collecting 1-2 pieces of candy at each. Please note, trick-or-treating is intended for children only.
BEAT THE CROWDS
The last weekend of Boo at the Zoo is certainly the busiest. Regardless of which day you come, arrive early! Gates will open at 5 p.m.
PLAN FOR THE WEATHER
Boo at the Zoo is rain or shine. In the event of rain, some activities may be delayed or cancelled.
THE SCARE FACTOR
After dark, some areas may be scary for young children. Your event guide (available upon entry) will provide more guidance.
ADULT COSTUMES - BE MERRY, NOT SCARY
Adults are welcome to dress for the occasion. However, we do not permit adults to wear masks, clown outfits or scary costumes. All other costumes are up to Zoo security's discretion.
