Churros have been made in many different variants. Most of the churros seen in the United States come out of a box or spend a good part of their lives frozen! What distinguishes Churro Queens from the rest of the pack is that our churros are made fresh, one at a time, by people who grew up in the culture that perfected these tasty treats. By incorporating traditional recipes with new and creative ideas, Churro Queens provides a whole new set of choices and tasty delights for the experienced churro aficionado and instantly winning the hearts of the uninitiated, rookie, first-time “Churro-Chompers” as well.
Rather than using pre-mixed, “mass-production” dough and “off-the-shelf” ingredients, Churro Queens uses hand mixed and produced dough and a variety of original toppings, or “Flavor-Crowns”, for our churros. That list includes a surprising and intriguing range of delicious delights such as German chocolate and other wonderful flavorings from such diverse parts of the world as Brazil, Belize, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. The difference could be described by comparing birthday cakes produced from a “cake-in-a-box” mass-production mix versus a cake created by the hands of a Master Baker.
