Watercolor Spiderwebs:
In this session, students will begin by cutting a large sheet of watercolor paper into a circle (templates to trace will be provided). Instructions for drawing a spiderweb pattern will be demonstrated on the whiteboard; students will draw the pattern on their watercolor paper along with the teacher using light grey oil pastel. Students will then use watercolor paint to color in their spiderweb. The lines drawn in oil pastel will repel the watercolors, making the pre-drawn design pop amongst colorful paint. Finally, students will use black construction paper to make their own simple spider, and glue it to their desired spot on the web. This session will run from 10:00––11:00 a.m. and is intended for students at a Beginner level.

Pop-Up Haunted House Collages:
In this session, students will be provided a series of examples of haunted houses for inspiration. Once they've decided on the shape and structure of their haunted house by sketching ideas on printer paper, students will draw their design onto black construction paper and cut it out. Then students will cut windows and doors out, leaving one side intact so they are openable and closable. Students will decorate the inside of their windows and doors with a series of spooky Halloween creatures and scenes. Students will also be encouraged to decorate the background behind their house with trees, animals, and a spooky Halloween sky. This session will run from 11:30 a.m. –– 12:30 p.m. and is intended for students at an Advanced level.
